INTER-SCHOOL

Inter-school activities involve a variety of sporting events and activities throughout the year. It is believed that children need physical activity daily to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As a result, many of these sports occur during the school day as part of the Physical Education Curricula classes. The class lessons are structured and designed to introduce skills and build upon each skill with the correct progressions and execution. In addition, game rules, strategies, and team play are introduced.

As a result of this class instruction, Ruth Hooker School has competed in all of the Inter-school athletic sporting events over the past years. In addition, some of the practice times for these inter-school sports have taken place during the lunch hours and after school.

Students will be supervised by teachers and staff at events, will be bussed to and from the event from Ruth Hooker School (with the exception of Football), will expect to follow school rules while participating, and need to attend practices before the event as outlined by the coach.

All students participating will require a signed consent form. Information regarding dates, locations, practices, equipment, etc., will be posted on the home page of this website as well as sent home.

We encourage all parents and families to come out and cheer on our Ruth Hooker Eagles at these events!! (please leave pets at home for safety and health reasons).

GO EAGLES!
